Upcoming Workshop – Yogi Colorado, Deepen Your Yin Practice

Yin & Restorative Workshops
2026 I am currently offering two different workshops: Deepen Your Yin Practice and Experience Restorative Yoga.
Deepen Your Yin Practice workshop. This 2-hour workshop integrates research, historical perspective, and modern studio insight so students leave with a more informed, grounded, and meaningful Yin practice. What your students will learn: What is Yin & why it matters. The four teachers who influenced and evolved Yin, Active vs Passive poses. Nervous System support & relaxation. Meridians, a few acupressure points, & TCM.
Praise for Stef Layton & Deepen Your Yin Practice
Stef masterfully created a community for the female participants in her workshop. Bravo!
Stef is a knowledgeable, receptive instructor that took time and effort in relating to students of all levels and abilities.
I love Stef’s enthusiasm (in particular, for yin) and deep knowledge base. She makes everyone – regardless of age, experience, body type, health circumstances – feel welcome and comfortable in her class(es).
Stef’s workshop gave me a better insight of what Yin is and helped me with my postures.
Experience Restorative Yoga is an introduction to the traditional practice developed by Judith Hanson Lasater, rooted in the prop-based teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. In this workshop, we’ll explore how the body responds to stress, including common holding patterns and where tension tends to linger.
You’ll learn how to set up Restorative poses with intention—using props to fully support the body, not stretch it. Together, we’ll shift the focus from “doing” to receiving, allowing the nervous system to settle and restore.
This is a practice of comfort, not intensity. No pushing. No striving. Just support, stillness, and space to exhale.
